Welcome
Somatic and perceptual work with trauma, subtle body experience, and what has not yet become clear.
Dr. Bianca Baciu
Early experiences don’t always arrive as clear memories. They show up in the way the body responds now, in image, breath, pain, or a sense of preparing for something that is no longer happening.
I don’t think of the body as simply storing trauma. It is more alive and more responsive than that. It predicts, protects, and tries to make sense of the present through what has happened before. My work is about helping those responses become perceptible without forcing them into an explanation too quickly. We may work with the nervous system, visual perception, sound, touch, movement, the subtle body, ancestral material, or experiences that seem to belong to a larger collective field.
I created Vision Somatics® and Conditioning for Performing Artists®, two unique body-oriented approaches to perception, trauma, movement and embodied expression.
We always begin with what is already here.
My latest book, From the Underworld, is now available in Kindle and print. A somatic exploration of trauma, survival, and the body beneath language.
“Bianca is a true body whisperer. She is a highly experienced somatic therapist, a Reiki Master, and also has a Doctorate in classical piano! It is rare to find people like her in academia. She has an extraordinarily sharp sense for guiding bodies and nervous systems toward healthy flow.”
Maddie, Canada
“I am a somatic practitioner myself, but work with Bianca is on another level. In past centuries, I think she would have been called a ‘seer.’ She can detect very subtle physical, emotional and energetic tension and guide me to work with it. [] This work is infinitely creative and deep.”
Leslie, UK
