Meditation, Reiki and Subtle Body Support
Stillness is not always quiet.
Meditation and subtle body support are often presented as a way to calm down. They can do that, and they can also bring us closer to places that have been working hard to stay out of awareness.
Depending on what you need, sessions may include meditation, grounding, subtle body awareness, Reiki, restorative practices, gentle movement, imagery, or quiet ways of returning to yourself.
Meditation
Meditation does not have to mean sitting still and trying to empty the mind. For many people, that kind of practice is not supportive at first. It may bring up agitation, grief, or a sense of failure. In sessions, meditation is approached gently and practically. We look for a way of being present that your body can stay with.
Sometimes that means a short practice. Sometimes it means open attention, imagery, movement, sound, or simply learning how to stay with yourself without pushing. The goal is to find a way back into contact.
Reiki and subtle body support
Reiki can offer a quiet form of support when the body is overwhelmed, tired, or difficult to reach through words.
I work with Reiki as part of a broader sensitivity to the subtle body: the way energy, sensation, image, emotion, and perception may organize around experience. This can be especially helpful when something is felt, but not easily explained.
How sessions happen
Sessions are available online and in person. They are shaped by what you bring and how your system responds. Some sessions are quiet, and may include conversation, imagery, meditation, or subtle body awareness. Sometimes Reiki is central. Other times, it is only one part of the work.
You do not have to know exactly what you need before beginning. We start with what is already here.
“When I started private yoga and meditation sessions with Bianca, I had trouble sleeping, and experienced anxiety and stress. I work the suicide line, and was feeling really overwhelmed. Bianca was calming and gentle, and gave me space to process my stress. She showed me practices that suited my body and energy, and taught me how to meditate without putting pressure on myself. I was also curious about Reiki, and after a couple of sessions, I started sleeping better. I am still regularly using the tools she gave me, and feel calmer and more confident. My mental health has definitely improved. Bianca is insightful and gentle, and truly cares about the people she works with.”
